Part 4   AFTER SPACE

In 1965 I met 'The Beatles' during their first visit to the United States. I went to the Hollywood Bowl Concert, and the next day was invited to meet them. After loving their music for so many years the expression on my face says it all.

Boy did we have some laughs remembering our years together.  That's Bill and me in front of our schoolroom with Howard Rice (Room 222) and Stephen Arngrim (Land of the Giants). After "Lost In Space," I finished high school, went to college, traveled, modeled and continued acting in TV shows and commercials.  I also pursued photography, which continues to be one of my passions to this day.

I became the 'Soft & Dri' spokeswoman for three years. I was also the spokeswoman for a round the world Milk campaign 'Every body needs milk'. Seeing yourself that big on a billboard is a overwhelming experience.  In one of my favorite commercials I was cast in a United Airlines commercial that started with me singing on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and took me all over the United States where more people joined in singing with me in each location.
I'd love to see that commercial again.

I got my love of photography from my Dad who took many pictures of me like the ones above
which
appeared in Japanese magazines.

I appeared as a guest star in various television shows and I also did some theatre. Performing on stage in "Butterflies Are Free" with Jim Daughton and in "40 Carots" with Marjorie Lord was a memorable experience.

Danny Thomas returned to television with "Make Room For Grandaddy" and it was great being back with the original cast once again. In the one season the show was on the air we had a multitude of fabulous guest stars including Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Diana Ross and tons of others.
"Linda Learns to Drive" was my favorite episode. I was relieved years later that my daughter didn't give me as much grief learing to drive as I gave Danny in that episode.

It was a lot of fun guest starring with my "Sound of Music" sister 'Louisa' aka Heather Menzies on her show "Logan's Run", here with Gregory Harrison.
BEYOND THE POSIEDON

In 1978, I worked with Irwin Allen once again, when he cast me as 'Teresa' in "Beyond the Poseidon Adventure." It starred Michael Caine, Sally Field, Peter Boyle, Karl Malden, Jack Warden, Shirley Jones, Slim Pickens and Telly Savalas. Mark Harmon was my love interest and it was Veronica Hamel's first movie. The shoot was very demanding in classic Irwin Allen style. We spent a lot of time wet in the ocean or under water off Catalina Island.
     HIGH SCHOOL USA

In "High School USA" I played the High School Cheerleading Coach. Here I am with Duane Hickman, TV's Dobie Gillis (left) and some of the cast Eleanor Donahue, Dawn Wells and Michael J. Fox. It also starred Nancy McKean and Anthony Edwards.

In 1976 I married my husband Steve. In 1977 I opened an eclectic store filled with wide selection of unusual things. In 1999 I closed the store in Toluca Lake and I began to concentrate on my passions, photography and art. To see the journey that my art is taking me on check out my website www.acartwrightstudio.com.

In 1081 I began my career as 'MOM' with the birth of my daughter Becca and my son Jesse.  It's been my most rewarding and enjoyable role yet.

Becca and Jesse must have show biz blood running in their veins and have started their own Production Company,

Gulch Entertainment
...
and so it begins.
